Entry #1 - My Favorite Beauty Blogs

Entry #1 My favorite beauty blogs

I never had much of an opinion on the topic of blogs until I was asked to do this assignment and I think starting a blog will provide me the opportunity to educate others interested in my field of expertise.

My love for beauty dates back to my early childhood. Like some lot young girls, I was fascinated with my mother’s beauty routine. Her makeup and skincare collection were extensive, and I loved to watch her put it on.  It was magical watching her face transform into a movie star.  This was the beginning of my beauty junkie obsession!  Being an Esthetician and Laser Technician, I love blogs about makeup, skincare products and facial treatments. I can’t tell you and how many times I have purchased a product or tried a new facial treatment that was reviewed on a blog, and the bloggers opinion is usually spot on. Of course, I have had times I questioned their review, but these things come down to personal preference and I keep an open mind about all bloggers view point.

http://beautybanter.com/about  is all-inclusive beauty blog covering trends, tips and tricks, insider secrets, and weekly must-haves. Beauty Banter has a reputation of being on the cutting edge of emerging trends and product launches. Written by  Sarah Howard, she has a family that has been in the beauty industry for decades!  I love being up to date on the latest and greatest, so this is my go to blog!

https://www.spafinder.com/blog/ The Spa finder is the only place you need to look if you are considering visiting spas in the United States. They have thousands of day spa partners who provide treatments throughout the United States. Spa finder continues to firmly set its footprint in the beauty and wellness industry. Their main goal: give someone the tools to focus on their well-being and live well all year round.

One of the blogs I don’t like to use is https://www.pintrest.com.  As fun as DYI skincare is, I am looking for treatments and products backed by science.  I take my skincare serious and pintrest is full of silly things that I am not interested in trying.

  1. I understand your love for makeup because I love it too. As same as you, I have never had an opinion about blogs, but I was looking for a beauty blog to know what's new about makeup and to consider different points of view about different brands, so I will totally check out Beauty Banter.

  2. Hi Erin! I'm happy to know that there's someone else in this class that loves makeup as much as I do! I actually didn't really get into makeup until high school. This past year I have really started diving into it more. I got a monthly beauty subscription box, I watch tons of beauty gurus on YouTube and I love watching/reading makeup product reviews online. I can't wait to read your next beauty related post!
